CASE machines help The Woods Waste Group achieve sustainability goals

The Woods Waste Group, a waste management solutions provider in Blackpool, north-west England, uses its fleet of CASE Construction Equipment machines to recycle 85% of the material that enters its yard. The machines are used to move the commercial waste that arrives from construction and road building sites through crushing, washing and processing stages, after which the product can be sold again as several different grades of cleaned stone or soil.

“We chose CASE machines because they deliver an unrivalled level of efficiency and reliability. Very rarely do any of our fleet of five machines require repairs or spare parts, and on the offchance they do, the service we receive is excellent. We routinely collect parts out of normal office hours and any parts not in stock arrive within 24 hours. Having this availability ensures that we are able to process and recycle the huge volumes of waste we receive, as well as maximise the multi-million-pound upgrades we have made to our facility” said Andrew Rayner-Porter, Site Manager, The Woods Waste Group.

Having relied on CASE machines for the last seven years, The Woods Waste Group currently count the following among their fleet:

  • Three CASE CX210excavators (one CASE CX210C, one CASE CX210D Long Reach and a CASE CX210D)
  • A CASE CX250D excavator
  • A CASE 1150M dozer

The company owns and operates the only washing and gravity separation system in the area. As a result, it produces a broad range of recycled washed stone and topsoil, with this then being delivered to customers across the country.
“Our relationship with Dennis Barnfield Ltd., our local CASE dealer, has also underpinned the success we’ve had with CASE machines. The team offers personalised support and the dealership is only a one-hour drive away, meaning service engineers are always there when we need them. As such, we can achieve maximum uptime from all our CASE machines. Power and reliability are crucial in waste recycling – our relationship with Dennis Barnfield Ltd. and the design of the machines themselves mean this is always on hand,” continued Rayner-Porter. “For us, our relationship with a customer extends long beyond the sale of a machine,” said Graham Barnfield, Managing Director, Dennis Barnfield. “It is fantastic to see this level of support come to fruition and allow The Woods Waste Group to operate more sustainably,” he concluded.

“Recycling is a key application for CASE machines. It is reflective of the sustainability goals that are in place across the wider CNH Industrial Group, as we all look to reduce our environmental impact. We are delighted that both The Woods Waste Group and Dennis Barnfield Ltd. are playing their part in this,” said Anthony Bouvié, Business Director Northern Europe, CASE Construction Equipment.
