CASE importer INTRAC opens state-of-the-art

CASE importer INTRAC opens state-of-the-art service centre in Vilnius, Lithuania

  • Published Wed Jan 22, 2020

INTRAC, the CASE Construction Equipment importer for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, has recently moved to a new customer service centre in Vilnius, Lithuania. Equipped with a range of state-of-the art equipment, the facility includes a workshop, repair centre, machine washing area and offices. The new Vilnius office is the newest of INTRAC’s 13 locations strategically located all over the Baltic states, eight of which have been purpose built.

“With this new facility, we will be able to offer our CASE customers the ultimate parts and servicing experience for their machines,” said Carl Leijonhielm, Managing Director, INTRAC Group AB. “For example, we have gone from a servicing area with only one entry and exit door, to one that has three parallel channels, simplifying much of workshop logistics. This allows us to be much flexible and efficient, reducing wait times for our customers and increasing the volume of machines we can handle.”

The centre’s main workshop spans 450 sq. m, with this being supported by a repair and tool shop that is 500 sq. m. A 12-tonne crane caters for mounting and dismounting, allowing the workshop to serve eight heavy line machines at once, for either maintenance or washing.

“The washing area is particularly important” continues Leijonhielm. “Many of our customers use their CASE machines in demanding working conditions, meaning they are often covered in mud and even ice when they arrive. Supporting this is our exhaust ventilation system, allowing machines to be routinely tested for safety and performance indoors.

“We are confident that this new investment will lead to further growth for INTRAC, with 29 of our 60 Lithuanian employees currently stationed in Vilnius. Demand is expected to increase, and this facility means we are poised to deal with this,” he concluded.

The Vilnius facility is one of three new INTRAC premises opened in Lithuania the last five years, with the other two located in the cities of Panevėžys and Kaunas. As well as this, the company celebrated its 25th anniversary on November 25, 2019.

“This facility represents an exciting new development for both INTRAC and CASE,” said Anthony Bouvié, Busines Director Northern Europe, CASE Construction Equipment. “We know that both the company and its customers will hugely benefit from the service centre’s new capabilities, meaning CASE machines can be back out on jobsites much quicker than previously,” he concluded.
