CASE Construction Equipment invited a group of key representatives from our Australian distributor and dealers to visit its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pithampur, India, on January 22nd and 23rd. The guests observed the advanced manufacturing processes and technologies used at the plant and the rigorous quality control procedures applied to ensure the high manufacturing standards that are the hallmark of CNH plants. The factory manufactures a wide range of construction equipment including vibratory compactors, backhoe loaders, and crawler excavators, and has recently added a new skid steer loader assembly line. It serves the domestic market as well as exporting to more than 100 countries across the world.
“It was a pleasure visiting the plant and witnessing the breadth of capabilities and flexibility of the Pithampur Plant. The highlight of the manufacturing facility was the team and the care put into everything that they do, starting from safety protocols, processes, quality checks to the final product assembly. It is certainly a world-class product which is being delivered and the trip was a fantastic opportunity to witness this,” said Paul Davies, General Manager, McIntosh Construction Equipment.
On the first day of their stay, the guests were led by the plant’s team on a tour of the facility, where they saw the paint shops and all the assembly lines in operation – including the new skid steer loader line, which is entirely staffed and managed by women – and visited the CASE Connect Center. This was followed by a product demonstration on the proving ground and detailed presentations of the top-of-the-line backhoe loaders, compactors, crawler excavators and skid steer loaders around the machines. The guests also had the opportunity for a hands-on experience of the skid steer loaders. On the second day, they visited a customer’s construction site, where they observed CASE machines at work, and a CNH Parts Depot.
