Customer demand for CASE machines fuels Rentti growth across Finland

CASE Construction Equipment importer Rentti / Tracwest Oy (Rentti), headquartered in Honkajoki, Finland, has opened a new depot in Oulu and is expanding its team across its locations in Tuusula, Pirkkala and Honkajoki. Rentti’s growth is fuelled by demand for CASE machines and the importer’s strategy to expand sales and services throughout Finland, so that it serves customers locally.

Rentti CEO Juha Leivo explains: “Our customers want to buy and hire CASE machines, they want expert support and aftermarket solutions and they want it where they are located. That means growing our depot network, our team and our expertise.”

Rentti sells, rents and maintains CASE machines from across its range, as well acquiring and selling pre-owned machines throughout Finland to customers in construction, agriculture, forestry, extractive and materials handling industries.

Oulu depot opened early 2022
The Oulu depot is in the north of Finland, a sparsely populated part of the county but which has a thriving forestry and agriculture industry. These industries need plant and equipment such as CASE excavators and wheel loaders, so for Juha and his leadership team, the decision to expand northwards was an easy one. “There is strong demand for excavators with specialist attachments that can operate for long periods in the often harsh conditions of the northern forests,” continues Juha. “CASE machines have a well-deserved reputation for quality, backed up with its aftermarket solutions that optimise uptime.”

Customers in the north investing in CASE plant need the aftermarket solutions, such as parts, servicing and repairs that keep their machines operating at optimal rates with minimum downtime. All four of Rentti’s depots have dedicated onsite and mobile repair shops and parts stores, operated by experienced engineers and technicians, ensuring customers who buy and rent their machines benefit from fast local support and expertise when they need it.

Flexibility and customer service driving depot and employee growth
In contrast to Oulu’s remote location, the Tuusula depot is located on the outskirts of capital city Helsinki. Customer needs here are extensive, with the depot supporting sales and rentals to customers in a wide range of industries, including construction and materials handling. The resulting solution mix tends to be broader with backhoe loaders, graders, skid loaders and dozers being supplied, alongside excavators and wheel loaders.

“Whatever our customers’ needs, whether it’s new, pre-owned or rental machines, servicing, parts and repairs, we are flexible so we can support them,” adds Juha. “Our focus is on developing long-term relationships. This means we have customers who buy CASE machines from us again and again, customers who return to us many times to rent equipment.”

What’s next for Rentti?
Juha sees Rentti continuing to grow, partly because of the growing demand for CASE machines and market penetration, and partly driven by CASE launching new product ranges and aftermarket solutions. These include recent launches such as the E-Series crawler excavator range and D-Series Mini-Excavator range that features electric models.

He concludes: “We go where our customers need CASE machines and our expertise. The new Oulu depot is the most recent stage of our growth journey and there is more to come as our customers grow.”
